Every testimony says two things at once: come and see, and do not go back. The encounter welcomes anyone who is hungry for Jesus, and it warns us not to settle for a life without Him. This is why stories are powerful—they point forward and caution against drifting.

When a man says Jesus met him in a hospital bed, it comforts the sick and also nudges the healthy to remember their own need. When someone says God spoke on a highway, it invites travelers to listen and warns them not to ignore the Shepherd’s voice.

“Testimonies are watchmen on the wall—they wave people in and cry out when danger approaches.”

Holding both is part of the watchman’s role. We celebrate the invitation and heed the warning. Together they keep the community steady, awake, and close to Jesus in a world full of distractions.
